In September 2023, Boorrumpah Goupong Aboriginal Corporation hosted a camp at Middle Road, Purga, bringing together young people and community members for a weekend focused on culture, connection and men's mental health.
Through a range of outdoor and cultural activities, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their connection to Country, build positive relationships and engage in meaningful conversations around wellbeing, resilience and personal growth. The camp provided a safe and supportive environment where young people and men could connect with mentors, share experiences and learn from one another.
By combining cultural connection with opportunities to support mental health and wellbeing, BGAC continues to create spaces that empower individuals, strengthen communities and inspire the next generation of leaders.
